We have really enjoyed our time here! It’s been about a year since we started in the pre karate classes and our son has excelled. Starting as a 4 year old boy had its challenges with focus but everyone is so supportive and kind. He’s learned so much and now confidently assists in leading warmups and is so proud of his hard work! Highly recommend ♥️

Great experience with my 4.5 year old. The instructors were very professional, smart, and helped my kid (and all kids in the class) focus and learn the basics. It’s a good experience for younger kids to learn discipline and listening skills. I’d recommend it for young ones to learn, have fun, wear out, and learn new skills.

This is a quality organization. Sensei Willy and staff are great with all levels. My son is thriving at this dojo.After many years at this dojo, we would absolutely recommend this organization. It's a great place for all ages, genders and body types to try karate. My son has learned the value of commitment and pride of success. He has also learned how to deal with loss with grace and character.

We love Colorado Karate Club - they have taught our 6 year old son so much more than just karate. They have taught him focus, patience, perseverance and team work, as well as how to compete, win or lose, with grace. They have provided him with opportunities to give back to his community as well as opportunities to just have fun with other members of the dojo. The senseis and senpais are so encouraging and fun, even while maintaining an expectation of discipline and focus. Seeing the pride on my son’s face each time he learns a new move, moves up in rank or gets to lead class warmups is the best. We’re very thankful for this program and all they do.

This is one of the best karate school my son has attended. He’s come along way in the last three years. He listens well at home and he listens very well at school one of their top students. Sensi Kyra is an amazing teacher, she always gives a motivation to keep it going and continue to do a great job no matter how many obstacles they might encounter. She develops a great relationship with the students and I appreciate her teaching ethic towards my child. I recommend this school 100%.

We have really enjoyed our experience at Colorado Karate Club. Our son started at 3 years old and has really shown a lot of improvements in listening, following instructions, and overall balance/agility. My family and I have been with Colorado Karate Club for the last 3 years. There has been so much growth in the boys' coordination, character discipline, and even in their listening skills! I have loved it so much that I joined the boys' on the karate journey to a black belt! I love the body discipline this program gives me. Also, with the group working through various stances and moves to become smoother as a whole, and then to take that individually to better ones self. ♥️

We absolutely love Colorado Karate Club, their owner and all their instructors. They are very professional, fun and show a sincere interest in our son. We had tried other martial arts schools for our young son but Colorado Karate Club in Westminster has been the most personable with students and parents. They are invested in the betterment not just of Karate skills but in each students morals, life goals and focus on respectful actions in their personal lives. In the last year, our son has increased his grades, decreased his anger and become more responsible in all aspects of his life. I can absolutely attribute these in no small part, to this school and its lessons. Please consider bringing your kids or adults to this school and meet the staff and parents.

I am a former student of Sensei Willy. My name is Chaplain Candidate 1LT Dane Barnes, and I currently serve in the United States Army Chaplain Corps. Recently, I graduated from our Chaplain School (CHBOLC) after three years of service in the Army Reserves. Being in such an austere environment, there were a lot of times that I thought back to how my formative youth at Colorado Karate Club prepared me for military discipline.In the Army, there's a lot of Doctrine and regulation....but the actual yearning to do good and be upright starts within. During one of our courses on the Army Ethic, I couldn't help but think of the Dojo-Kun; Particularly the element of: "seek perfection of character." Army Chaplains have to possess the mental and moral fortitude to accompany soldiers into the most dire situations, at their own behest. That requires a tremendous amount of willpower and self-discipline consistent with moral development. I know that the Dojo provided me with an ethical, mental, and spiritual framework that has helped me to meet those requirements.I absolutely commend Sensei Willy Stromeier for his dedicated instruction at Colorado Karate Club, not just in educating others in self-defense, but for the critical aspects of discipline and moral integrity which his Dojo embodies.

This place is the best. My daughter has gotten more disciplined and gets unusually excited to get so physical. I love how they focus on character building, discipline and working with others, as well as a lot of Japanese traditions. 10/10 can’t wait to see how my daughter continues to grow and learn.

Our kids have been in the programs here for over two years and we could not be happier with the experience we have had. The discipline they have gained shows at home and school. The physical fitness they have is amazing. And the skills they have learned will last them a lifetime. I can’t say enough good things about this studio! We attended classes as a family of three generations for over a year. It was very fun and motivating to take classes together! I lost 50 pounds and was inspired to make positive changes in my life.

We love Colorado Karate club!This is a place where children and adults grow in their strengths. I can clearly see that my daughter became more confident and much stronger. She’s been learning to accept mistakes and deal with frustration. She’s been developing stronger emotional regulation skills.Sensei Kyra is a great role model for children and managed to build feelings of trust, safety and well-being. She definitely understands different kinds of children’s personalities, cares very deeply about their progress and helps every child to reach their fullest potential. She is always calm but firm when it comes to discipline. She has a good sense of humor and children love that.I am impressed how kind all participants are and they do their best to help each others.I would like to admit that the every member of the team deserves kind words and each of them contributes to children’s success. They all show respect and and love to every person in class.

This place is so much more than a karate center, it truly is a community where family members learn the art of karate together, friends teach each other, everyone cheers for the growth of individuals, and kindness and discipline is instilled in everyone as they enter the doors. Our kids have learned so much since starting Karate. Their excitement to progress and achievements as a Parent is the best feeling ever. We love the community there and Sensei Willy has made a big positive difference in our boys life. He Keeps them on their toes and talks to them personally about being better. Every kid should have a Role model besides their parents.

Our family has been enrolled at the Westminster dojo for a few months now and we love it - my grandkids under 10, their mom in her mid 20s, and my wife and I around 50.Senseis Willy & Kyra and their assistants teach traditional Shotokan karate with a good mix of discipline and fun. There's zero mention of professional fighting or MMA ... just technique, achievement, and mutual respect for each other and the dojo.They have pre-k for kindergartners, plus beginner, intermediate and advanced levels for all other ages and experience.The instructors are very accommodating to our aging knees and my weight and back injury. For example, I can't do sparring, falls or takedowns, or lay on my back for some parts of the warm-up. And when I've reached my limit, I can slow down or take a break. And that's fine, but everything I can do, they encourage me to push to my safe limits.So for me it's been a great way to stretch, exercise and revisit techniques I knew when I was much younger. I've even lost a little weight since I started.I can't recommend them enough.

Before moving to Northern Colorado, I had the pleasure of attending Colorado Karate Club with my two kids, ages 10 & 7. The folks at CKC not only do a fantastic job of teaching karate, but they've also created a wonderful community.I loved observing how the program challenged my children. Throughout their experiences, they learned discipline as well as seeing first-hand what they could achieve both physically and mentally; things they didn't think they could achieve prior to challenging themselves.For myself, it was a fantastic journey to take with my children. I highly recommend being an adult participant! I also learned what I was capable of achieving, while also obtaining priceless shared experiences/ memories with my kids. Thanks for everything you did for the Haller family, CKC. We very much appreciate it!
