Families Training Together

Because students train by rank rather than age, parents and children can be on the mat together — learning the same material, testing together, and building something that lasts as a family.

Students train by rank — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Black Belt — not by age, so everyone works alongside others at their own level. Pre-Karate is our one age-specific class.

Families Training Together at Colorado Karate Club

What to expect

Families Training Together at Colorado Karate Club is built on traditional Shotokan karate — real technique, real discipline, real progress through structured belt promotions. Students receive a full uniform (gi) and required equipment at enrollment, and classes meet two days a week (up to four for members whose class size permits).

Why families choose CKC

  • Traditional Shotokan lineage taught by black-belt instructors
  • Age-appropriate structure — never one-size-fits-all
  • Belt promotions every two months (Pre-Karate / Beginner)
  • Two in-house tournaments each year for optional competition
  • Uniform and equipment included with membership
